Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis is also called Wegener’s granulomatosis. It is a rare disorder that results in inflammation of small blood vessels. This disease commonly involved parts of the respiratory tract including the sinuses, nasal cavity and lungs. The disease can also involve other parts of the body including the skin, nerves, joints, and kidneys. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is a very serious illness that is best treated early and aggressively.
